Dan Roper, Elder
Dan grew up in North Hollywood, California in a Christian family where he and his siblings were “taken” to church on a regular basis. He was also sent to a Christian school where he became aware of his sin and his need of Christ. Dan’s life in high school and college revolved around church, Youth for Christ, and school! He attended Cal Poly University, where he met Kathy in an Intervarsity meeting on campus and was very active in church and school ministries. Kathy and Dan were married by their campus pastor before their senior year, and Dan was commissioned in the service upon graduation. He spent 26 years as an aviator in the Navy. After the service, they moved to Williamsburg, continued raising 4 daughters, with most of their activities centered around the Church and the Lord. Dan and Kathy became members of Christ Fellowship near the end of 2020. They love the preaching, music, and fellowship of the community groups, as well as the men’s Bible studies.
